Landscape Design

Sydney landscape design

Not all clients know what they want immediately, so we have designed our Sydney landscape design process to be flexible enough for our garden design process. We start with a collaboration process to discover our client’s existing thoughts and how we can enhance them using our unique global design philosophy.

Vogue & Vine is a full service landscape company which means we can take your project all the way from concept through to construction and styling afterwards.

We combine our creativity with important practical elements such as budget awareness and site & access constraints. Most importantly, our landscape design takes the stress out of decision making so that the end result completely exceeds your expectations.

We have 3 tailored Sydney landscape design packages based upon the size and scope of your project.

Stage 1: Initial consultation

Each garden has its own characteristics that makes the space unique. Our initial on-site consultation gives us the opportunity to meet you and gain an insight into your garden environment including existing structures, orientation, lighting, outlook to neighbours and suburb feel.

We start to develop a brief by asking lots of questions, understanding what you want to achieve, understand your broader interests, and how you would like to use the space – for yourself, your family and friends, both in the short and long term.

We often ask you to prepare images of gardens you like for your Sydney landscape design project.  This helps us discover your starting point conceptual ideas. We then work out how we can build on them utilising our own global design philosophy.

Budget is always a critical conversation at this point. It dictates what elements we can incorporate into our design.

By the end of our consultation, we will have developed a thorough understanding of your brief, suggested a number of possible design concept ideas, and be in a position to forward you a proposal.

Stage 2: Proposal & quote

We then send you a fee proposal to prepare your design concept plan. Our proposal carefully outlines our understanding of your brief.

We pride ourselves on having an intuitive understanding of our clients and ‘nailing’ the brief, so that there’s no misunderstandings and little time wasted moving back & forth.

Our proposal is thorough and outlines a checklist of what we include in our design concept plans.

Stage 3: Design concept plans

Following acceptance of our fee proposal, we then proceed to translate the brief into your design concept plans.

There are a number of steps in this process depending on what you have opted for and what is required for the project.

Stage 4: Styling, sourcing & plants

We style your garden and source items from our curated global supplier base. This usually includes outdoor furniture, pots, outdoor rugs, screens, mirrors, water features or wall art.

Our styling & sourcing service can either be incorporated into our design phase OR can be offered on a separate hourly rate.

Ordering plants often requires many hours of back and forth discussions with local and interstate nurseries. We help ensure plant availability to meet your project timelines, as well as maximising plant affordability.

Stage 5: Quote & construction

Most of our clients enjoy the convenience of working with us all the way through the project to completion. This ensures design integrity and level of detail is maintained. Our construction service is offered as a separate service to our design service.

Once you have approved the garden design, we present a quote for construction using our relationships with some of Sydney’s best landscape contractors and builders.

Our role involves recommending trades, organising quotes and continuing to liaise with contractors throughout the project. We also order all required plants and other styling elements to finalise your garden.
