LOCATION – WOOLLAHRA, EASTERN SUBURBS SYDNEY
Our brief was to create a new Balcony garden in this Woollahra apartment.
We designed a new outdoor room in this small balcony space, where the client would be surrounded by greenery for privacy, yet still have room to sit outdoors privately or entertain friends.
The project required screening from neighbours and the addition of an “artistic touch” with added pops of colour and pattern to otherwise neutral colour tonings.

THE CLIENT
An artistic middle aged mum who has recently moved to an apartment in Woollahra in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
The client of this beautiful, first floor apartment had just moved in and wanted a combination of outdoor privacy with plants that would grow quickly.
GARDEN LANDSCAPE DESIGN WOOLLAHRA
We added space saving lightweight white planter troughs with established bamboo that provided instant privacy and created a relaxing green room effect.
We then incorporated a splash of colour using a bright yellow pot that matched the accent scatter cushions.
Our outdoor furniture was a dramatic charcoal that was not only lightweight but also toned in perfectly with the outdoor rug that grounded the whole design.
Overall our design was space saving, scaled back and simple so that we could maximise the usable outdoor area for casual entertaining and minimise clutter.
