MODERN GARDEN IN NORTH BONDI, EASTERN SUBURBS SYDNEY
THE BRIEF – Create a modern tropical front and back garden to match this contemporary renovation in North Bondi. The client wanted a landscape designer to completely update their existing garden and create a tropical paradise featuring a new swimming pool, level grassed area and bamboo privacy planting.
We updated the front garden adding an eclectic blend of modern outdoor pots and a combination of kentia palms and cacti for dramatic planting effect.Â
The back of the house featured an new swimming pool, so we introduced more contemporary planting elements and bamboo privacy screening to create a family-friendly tropical space.

THE CLIENTSÂ
This young family had recently moved to this completely modern home in North Bondi in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. They were looking for an experienced Bondi landscape designer.
We worked with both the client and their architect to reflect their new modern bondi house exterior and open plan interior layout. The brief gave us creative license to create a modern tropical entrance that would soften the white exterior of the house. We introduced an established Kentia Palm and Euphorbia Cowboy together with some smaller casual plantings to give an instant wow factor to the entrance.
BONDI FRONT GARDEN DESIGN
We framed the entrance with introduced architectural pots and planting that not only met the client brief but was inspired by a combination of Palm Springs and modern tropical influence .Â
MODERN BONDI BACK GARDEN POOL
The back garden featured a new pool, so we created a planting design that would be sympathetic to the new house architecture yet also meet the brief for privacy and a casual tropical feel for modern outdoor living.
